Description

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical & Electronics, Electronics and Software Engineers will be prioritized),
  • Being qualified as local patent attorney is a plus,
  • Master’s Degree is a plus,
  • Experienced in industrial and IP related areas,
  • Experienced candidates in FTO analysis will be prioritized,
  • Excellent command of written and verbal English, 
  • Eager to learn and improve Kentkart’s public transportation systems and products, internal industrial and IP related procedures and process,
  • Being up and coming with inventors and proactive about their inventions, 
  • Good at communication, coordination and team working skills, cross-department collaboration, 
  • Being a good listener and able to ask the right questions to Inventors to disclose inventions,
  • Being open to feedback and taking initiative,
  • Having negotiation technique and Analytical thinking skills,
  • Being result-oriented and following up all the responsibilities,
  • Competent in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Programs,
  • Will be able to reside in İzmir,

Job Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this role is to manage the entire intellectual property lifecycle, including evaluating inventions, coordinating patent applications, conducting IP research, and ensuring compliance with legal standards.

 

  • Developing and maintaining successful working relationships with inventors as a team player,
  • Coordinating all the processes regarding the notification, application decision, preparation and post-application with inventors, management and patent offices,
  • Interacting with the inventors, analyzing the latest inventions with their drafts, fillings, files and prosecution of invention disclosures,
  • Following up and finalizing international or national utility model, patent, design and software copyright applications,
  • Performing utility model, patent and design research and examination on national and international databases (in regard of novelty/state of the art),
  • Ensuring that utility model, patent, design and software copyright applications are made in accordance with National and International legislation,
  • Responding to comments and objections from patent office examiners by collaborating with inventors,
  • Following up TÜRKPATENT’s patent and design bulletins within the scope of our fields of activity,
  • Analyzing the utility model, patent and design owned by third parties in terms of infringement and invalidity,
  • Ensuring coordination with the relevant functional departments and patent attorney offices in objecting to IP applications made by third parties through providing technical opinions,
  • Performing patent and utility model translation controls of our filled invention disclosures,
  • Providing internal training to raise awareness and update information about industrial and IP rights and relevant processes,
  • Reviewing the IP clauses in business contracts.
